Day 3: What Day is it Anyway?

The sunrise on the horizon as we approached Malaya was something else this morning, as was our descent in to Changi Airport.  I suddenly realised this is the furthest I've been across the world.  We've spent an awful long time on planes and we have another eight hours to do shortly to Brisbane.  I am glad I packed my spiky ball at the last minute as it has been great for circulation and achy backs.  I did worry it might be seen as a suspicious object but thankfully not.  We could both do with fresh air and a jog but we'll be at Christina's by nightfall and it will be good to have that cushion of a few days with her before we are under our own steam.  I was hoping that Changi would be very exotic but it's just like every other departure gate in every other airport.  Oh bing bong, we're off!

  1. There were lots of Orchids at Changi when we were there, Singapore's National Flower, maybe you will see them on the way back. (Sorry about the Momma don't know how to change it.) Cheers you really are on an adventure now! Jeanne
