Day 26: Blipmeet

We had another leisurely start to the day as it was going to be very different.  We packed up Oscar the Van and headed initially for Ashburton.  Sadly, Ryan's dad and brother were working so all we could do was drive through and say hello to their home town, surprisingly much larger than we expected.  We heard from Lorraine and so decided to skip a cuppa and drive straight to her and Doug's lovely house in Salisbury, south of Timaru.

What smashing folks they are!  We talked and talked and talked some more when blipper Norma arrived with her stories of visiting England.  Lorraine plied us with food throughout the day and into the evening, and it was great to relax in good company, almost too relaxing as we all remembered we needed a blip and exited out to the garden.  The warm north westerlies which had been blustering around the house all day had finally died down and so we were able to get a blip of us all on the lawn.

We spent a very comfortable night and, thanks to Lorraine and Doug's hospitality and generosity we were able to upload lots of photos to flickr for the girls to see.
